What should I do before treatment?
Before coming to the clinic, please wash your face, and do not wear lotions, serums, makeup, or any perfume. In addition, avoid using Accutane and heat-based cosmetic treatments and prevent UV damage by staying out of the sun and using sunscreen and protective clothing.
What can I expect after treatment?
Healing time, and discomfort, can result can vary. There will be pinpoint bleeding after microneedling, but this will quickly subside. You may also experience some redness and swelling lasting for six days. You may also experience itching, flaking, or peeling, but these side effects do subside within seven days of treatment.
What post-care instructions should I follow?
After an Exceed microneedling treatment, you should:
- Cleanse the treated area with triple NS and gauze
- Use a topical healing dressing on the treated areas
- Cleanse your face with gentle cleansers, and pat dry, never rub your treated skin
- Avoid washcloths that have been used previously
- Keep skin hydrated
- Avoid excessive sun exposure and use a sunblock of at least SPF 30
- Do not pick at the treated area. Let the area heal on its own
